As Consultant Manager for Hudson’s Learning and Performance practice, Jim Wallace is responsible for providing his clients in the Chicago market with innovative technical solutions and leading Hudson’s Learning and Performance practice expansion nationwide. Whether he is utilizing his expertise in instructional design or serving fellow consultants, Jim’s unique perspective and level of support add great value to solving his clients’ and colleagues’ unique challenges.  His commitment to continuous professional development is exemplified through his work and through his involvement with the Chicago chapter of the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI), where he serves as the chapter Co-Secretary and oversees member development and engagement.

Joining Hudson in 1997, Jim has helped over a dozen clients in various industries improve their organizational effectiveness.  His greatest compliments have come in the form of repeat business and being in constant demand from his current and former clients. One client said, "Jim Wallace is the standard to which all instructional designers should be measured." He also spent 14 years with IBM in technical writing, customer education, and managerial roles. Jim earned his undergraduate degree in engineering and journalism from Purdue University.  He later earned his master’s degree in technical writing at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Jim is active in his community and church.  He has been married to his wife Linda for 37 years, and together, they have three children and one grandchild.  Their interests include cross-country skiing, golfing, and watching sports.
