Global Content Management Firm Partners with Hudson to Implement eLearning Training Programs


Client Challenge

A software company needed end user training for one of their products. The product is a server-based project or engagement document management system used primarily by accounting firms and legal firms. The product has four versions with separate versions for the accounting and legal environments. And, within those, there are different versions depending on whether the customer uses MS Outlook or Lotus Notes.

Hudson Solution

Hudson provided an instructional designer who developed eLearning end user training programs, for all four product versions using Articulate and Captivate. By developing the four versions in parallel, the instructional designer was able to reuse much of the material and create the eLearning programs efficiently.

The eLearning programs:

  • Included Quizmaker quizzes and Engage interactions
  • Incorporated demonstrations of end-user interactions recorded with Captivate to enhance learning
  • Used audio narration recorded by the client’s personnel that was imported into Articulate.
  • Was published for standalone or SCORM LMS delivery depending on the customer’s needs

Results

The required training was developed and deployed in time to support a major sale to a customer who was installing the software system in over 150 offices in North America and Asia. The client was extremely satisfied with the eLearning programs and how it supported the use of the software product in the customer’s offices.
