Government Investigation Case Study

Smart tagging decisions saved law firm 1,000 hours of review time and $50,000

Client Issue

From collection to production, Hudson Legal managed the full review process on behalf of an AmLaw 100 firm handling two major government investigations of financial services organization.

Hudson Legal Solution

In these cases, tagging decisions proved to be the prime generator of cost savings, across both the initial Level 1 and Level 2 quality control reviews. Hudson engineered the tagging forms from scratch, enabling the bulk tagging of close to 50,000 documents. This alone saved more than one thousand review hours and $50,000, and Hudson positively impacted workflow at every stage of production.

Hudson Legal Results

Engaging Hudson early on afforded the client a great opportunity to reduce manual editing, unnecessary tagging and unproductive reviewers – in other words, to streamline the review process even before the first document was reviewed. Hudson offered subject matter expertise that counsel did not possess in-house, generating impartial recommendations based on best practice.

Working in total partnership with legal counsel, Hudson assured the client of a knowledgeable resource wholly focused on their success in these two government investigations.
